The Hotline HLB100 Shrike is a compact 3 volt battery powered electric fence energiser (fencer). The Shrike has a modern design and is ideal for Equestrian use, perfect for paddock fencing or strip grazing. Place the energiser on the fence line between two posts placed closely together to prevent the fencer being blown along the fence line. Alternatively, if ground conditions are good (preferably damp) it may be possible to double the ES2earth stake as a stand, without losing efficiency, slide the Shrike on to the earth spike as pictured, but test the fence regularly to make sure the earth is still effective. The Shrike energiser works off 2 ‘D’ cell batteries, which will last approximately 8 weeks, working 24 hours a day. There is an On/Off switch and also an LED to indicate that the unit is working.
